restoration

Restoration allows us to preserve furniture from the past and keep it functioning. Rarely is a well designed and beautifully crafted piece not worth saving. A special piece of furniture can add another level of texture, colour and form to our homes and can be a worthwhile investment for future generations.

Furniture is also built to serve a purpose; a good chair should be used. Joints can loosen, fabrics can wear out, metal may rust and wood fade with age. Good design is not infallible, but through restoration, you can bring back the beauty and function of most items and save them from landfill.

We can carry out repairs to most wooden, metal and upholstered pieces, as well as offering specific repair services for traditional canework and also for more modern items, such as Eames fibreglass chairs. For more valuable pieces, we will endeavour to use traditional materials and processes, whilst restoring pieces to good working order.

Please get in touch if you are seeking advice, or have a project for us. We can usually put together a quote from good images.

Prices start from £200.
